Rolf Eichenberger who is an awarded European master of fine art photography is not only known for his small oeuvre of vintage photographs and originals (emulsion on canvas) but also for his theoretical work. In the history of postmodern art he is considered the founder of

  1. the scenic people photographs (symbolic staging in original places) in the eighties and
  2. the 1:1 stills emulsion on canvas (photographic "objets trouvés" in original dimensions) in the late nineties.
R.E. usually produces only 2-3 little vintage prints per subject or real originals. This is one of the reasons why the photographs of these epochs are mostly key works and already regarded as rarities.
